About SportsLab Portland

SportsLab | Athletic Republic Portland is a rehabilitation and performance center serving athletes of all ages — from youth athletes to adults training for life. We’re a small, fast-moving team that believes the right environment and the right people make transformation possible. We hold a high standard for hospitality, professionalism, and how we treat each other.

About the Role

This role supports both sides of our business — SportsLab rehab services and Athletic Republic training — split roughly 50/50. You’ll be a key support to our General Manager and leadership team, splitting your time between front desk hospitality and back-end administrative and marketing support.

No two days will look exactly the same. Some days you’ll be heads-down on administrative and marketing projects; other days you’ll be greeting clients, managing the front desk, and keeping the flow of the facility on track. The ability to shift between these modes — and to know when each is needed — is central to this role.

You’ll work closely with our General Manager, Front of House Manager, and Director of Performance, along with the rest of our small team — so clear communication and a collaborative mindset matter as much as the tasks themselves.

What You’ll Do

Front Desk & Client-Facing

  • Hospitality: greet clients and visitors, check them in and out, manage front desk flow
  • Answer the phones to help with SportsLab and Athletic Republic scheduling questions
  • Direct new patients to the best practitioner and answer general insurance questions
  • Talk to new Athletic Republic training leads and help them navigate to booking a free trial

Back-End & Administrative

  • Become familiar with the Go High Level CRM — edit email templates and workflows
  • Make edits to copy and images on our WordPress websites (no coding needed)
  • Work in Canva and AI tools to create informational graphics for marketing and internal use
  • Support the content calendar for social media and our Google Business Profile
  • Flag priorities and conflicts rather than silently absorbing them — immediate needs from leadership generally come first, but we want you communicating, not guessing

What We’re Looking For

  • Attention to detail
  • Warmth — you make people feel taken care of, not processed
  • Tech-comfortable (we use tools like scheduling/EMR software, Go High Level CRM, WordPress, Canva, and AI tools)
  • Prior front desk experience
  • Familiarity with sports training or rehab terminology

Growth Potential

As we grow, we expect this role to grow with it. For the right person, that could mean more hours, more responsibility, or new areas of ownership over time — we don’t have a fixed ladder mapped out yet, but we’re building this position with a long-term team member in mind.

Details

  • Part-time, 20–30 hours/week — afternoon shift, 1:00pm–6:00pm
  • Pay: $20–25/hour, depending on experience
  • Reports to the General Manager
