Georgia Fountas

Massage Therapist

Georgia is not currently in network with any insurers.

Self Pay Price: $120, 60 minute massage

Georgia has been doing massage since 1999 and has been licensed in 5 states. She became a Portland transplant in 2012, moving on a whim, and lived here for 10 years. She recently returned to Portland after moving back to the northeast for 3 years. Throughout her career, she’s worked in the medical/sports massage industries and has worked with people of all ages and abilities. She’s taught and developed curriculum for massage schools on the east coast. She loves a good challenge, working on those chronic annoyances bodies seem to love to hold onto. Georgia has a Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Health and Fitness for Special Populations, from the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and has worked as an ACSM CPT.

Laura Owen

Massage Therapist

Laura is now IN NETWORK with Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. If you are interested in seeing if you have massage benefits, please call BCBS to confirm.

Self Pay Price: $100, 60 minute massage

Laura Owen is a licensed massage therapist with over a decade of experience specializing in sports and orthopedic massage. After retiring as a professional dancer in New York City, she earned a degree in biology and chemistry from Hunter College (CUNY), an academic foundation that continues to shape her evidence-informed, movement-focused approach to care.

Her interest in rehabilitation deepened after recovering from a serious running injury, where working with a physical therapist who was also an LMT revealed the power of integrated manual therapy. Laura went on to train in lomi lomi massage in Hawai’i and later refined her clinical skills through mentorship with Mel Cash of the London School of Sports Massage and Whitney Lowe of the Academy of Clinical Massage, solidifying her focus on sports and orthopedic work.

Laura is not a pressure-based massage therapist. Her sessions are guided by each client’s goals, history, and nervous system response, emphasizing mobility, efficiency, and neuromuscular neutrality rather than force. While she incorporates deep tissue techniques and orthopedic principles, her style remains rooted in the lomi tradition—adaptive, respectful, and responsive to the individual. Outside the clinic, Laura can be found training for races, working in her metalsmithing studio, or collaborating closely with her own physical therapist. She looks forward to helping clients meet their movement goals with care that is skilled, thoughtful, and human.

Self Pay Price: $120, 60 minute massage

Jim Anderson’s journey into massage therapy began through his own experiences with sports, training, and recovery from competitions and outdoor activities. Fascinated by the ability of massage therapy to accelerate recovery and improve performance, he was drawn to the profession after seeing transformative results both personally and with clients. These experiences continue to fuel his passion for helping people recover, move better, and stay active.

Jim has worked with professional athletes across North America and Europe, though he believes massage therapy is beneficial for anyone—not just elite competitors. He joined the SportsLab team in Summer 2025 and provides highly individualized treatment sessions focused on rehabilitation, pain relief, and recovery. His approach incorporates a wide range of modalities, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, injury repair techniques, Swedish and relaxation massage, and myofascial release. Jim collaborates closely with fellow SportsLab practitioners to ensure each client receives comprehensive, integrated care aimed at optimal health and performance.

Jim believes regular massage therapy plays an essential role in long-term movement health, allowing people to remain active with less pain and discomfort as they age. The benefits of his work include improved flexibility and range of motion, enhanced athletic performance, faster recovery from training and competition, injury management and repair, improved sleep, immune function support, and stress and blood pressure management.

In addition to his clinical work, Jim travels internationally during race season as a massage therapist and support staff member for a professional UCI World Tour cycling team, Alpecin–Deceuninck. He provides massage therapy, race-day support, and logistics for riders at events around the world and has also represented the United States as a staff massage therapist at the 2021 UCI Road World Cycling Championships in Belgium.

Modalities Offered:
Swedish Massage, Athletic Massage, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Injury and Rehabilitation Massage (Auto, Sports, or Personal Injury), Scar Tissue and Pain Management, Silicone Cupping, Lymphatic Drainage, Assisted Stretching, Pregnancy Massage, Relaxation Massage, Stress Relief, and Chair Massage.

Mikhael Raymond

Soft Tissue Therapist

Mik is not in network with any insurers.

Self Pay Price: $120, 60 minute treatment,$60, 30 minute treatment

Originally from the New York/New Jersey area, Mikhael “Mik” Raymond has been part of Portland’s athletic and performance community since 2021. He is a Licensed Massage Therapist who practices as a soft tissue therapist, specializing in supporting athletes, performers, and active individuals in improving movement quality, recovery, and performance.

His work focuses on identifying soft tissue restrictions that can limit mobility, alter movement patterns, and reduce the body’s ability to efficiently handle training loads. Through a combination of targeted manual therapy and movement-based strategies, Mik helps restore tissue mobility, improve joint mechanics, and support more efficient movement.

Mik’s approach is rooted in performance support—helping clients not only address current restrictions, but also build a body that can tolerate the demands of training, competition, and daily life. He works collaboratively with clients to understand their sport, physical demands, and long-term goals, allowing treatment to be tailored to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

At SportsLab, Mik works with everyone from competitive athletes to everyday movers who want to move better, recover effectively, and maintain consistency in their training.

Outside of the clinic, Mik also provides soft tissue support for professional and collegiate soccer, track & field, and basketball programs, as well as independent athletes and performing artists, helping them manage training loads, maintain tissue health, and sustain high levels of performance.
